Philosophy of Mentorship - Pay it Forward
This philosophy of mentorship focuses on mentorship as a multiplier, with time and effort invested into a mentee viewed as a means of making more mentors and viewing yourself as a multiplier of positive change is at the heart of mentorship. Mentorship has a powerful domino effect, and each of us is bestowed with the power to break negative cycles and create positive ripples in the generations to come. Mentorship is fundamental to our common calling of caring for others. Growth is a never-ending process, and no matter what stage of career you are in, you have something worthy to share with someone and someone has something worthy to share with you. As John Wooden so beautifully said, “You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” True, you will never be able to pay back such a gift, but you can start today paying it forward.
